Product Introduction

DESU® Lactose is one of the most widely used filling and diluting agents in the pharmaceutical industry. Sourced from high-quality milk, it features stable chemical properties, high physiological compatibility, and good water solubility with a mildly sweet taste. During the spray drying process, the product forms a specific ratio of amorphous lactose and a porous structure with high specific surface area. This unique structure allows the lactose to combine the plasticity of amorphous lactose and the brittleness of crystalline lactose during tableting, delivering superior compressibility and tablet hardness for direct compression processes.

Product Feature

  • Narrow Particle Size Distribution
  • Excellent Flowability (Angle of Repose < 35°)
  • Superior Compressibility for Direct Compression
  • Optimized Porous Structure
  • Customizable Particle Size via Integrated Spray Drying
  • Low Drying Loss & Stable Bulk Density
  • Fine Powder Reduction (F90 Model)

Product Application

DESU® Lactose is primarily applied in solid oral dosage forms, including direct compression tableting, dry granulation, and capsule filling. For the F100 model (D50: 80-140μm), its particle size distribution is optimized to ensure homogeneous blending with low-dose and fine-particle APIs, making it a universal choice for dry granulation and capsule filling processes. The F90 model (D50: 100-160μm) features a narrower particle size distribution with significantly reduced fine powder content, which further enhances flowability and compressibility. It is specifically designed for high-speed tableting lines, ensuring stable feeding and consistent tablet weight during large-scale production.
