Product Introduction

 

RHEOL® HP50 is specifically designed for enteric coating and pH-dependent drug delivery. It is suitable for organic solvent coating systems and offers good compatibility with active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). As an enteric coating, it remains intact in acidic gastric environments and dissolves in weakly alkaline intestinal environments, ensuring targeted drug release. It also functions effectively as a matrix material for sustained and controlled-release formulations. Since 1971, HPMCP has been widely used as an enteric coating cellulose derivative in the pharmaceutical industry.
