RHEOL® HP55 provides effective enteric protection for pharmaceutical formulations. It is suitable for organic solvent coating systems and demonstrates good compatibility with APIs. Since 1971, HPMCP has been widely used as an enteric coating cellulose derivative in the pharmaceutical industry.
RHEOL® HP55 is primarily applied as an enteric coating material in pharmaceutical formulations, creating a durable film that prevents drug release in the acidic stomach environment. This ensures that acid-sensitive APIs are protected until they reach the weakly alkaline intestinal tract, where the coating dissolves to allow drug absorption.
